…for the little things!

Today is a day to be thankful for many things.

For one, I am thankful for the Berlin wall that fell down twenty years ago today.

I am thankful for no longer suffering from H1N1.

I am thankful for Naomi and Tyler’s beautiful baby girl, delivered safely.

I am thankful for my P.E. teacher’s children, who made it safely out of a car accident.

And on a far, far smaller scale, I am thankful for knowing that sometimes, there isn’t much of a need to elaborate. It’s comforting to know that I can simply be thankful, as opposed to prolonging my thoughts; to toss my them out into my days and yours, to ripple out. It’s beautiful for be thankful for things beyond ourselves, for things that directly impact the lives of others. It, at least for me, reminds me of the good that takes place in this world. Which, at times, can be easy to forget.

Today, I am thankful for the wonderful things happening in other lives. What, or whom, are you thankful for today?
